– The Organics Group –

Leaders in Environmental Engineering;

Pioneers in the Circular Economy.

For over three decades, The Organics Group has been dedicated to providing environmental protection solutions. Our main goal is to preserve the planet as a viable home for future generations, while also guaranteeing that every individual has the opportunity to live a dignified life. These priorities are at the core of our business philosophy.

Ammonia Recovery

Ammonia recovery has its place in the range of techniques applied to landfill leachate treatment where ammonia levels must be reduced but other component concentrations, such as COD and heavy metals, are within the limits of a discharge consent.

Ammonia can be recovered and converted to a range of useful resources that include fertilizer and fuel in the form of hydrogen.

Biogas Control Systems

Biogas and landfill gas are produced by naturally occurring bacteria that consume organic materials to produce methane. Properly managed this methane may be employed to produce energy and thereby offset the use of fossil fuels.

Organics has constructed several hundred systems that are involved in the production, capture and use of methane from natural sources.

Electricity from Biogas

Electricity generation from biogas is a tried and tested technology that uses what has traditionally been considered to be a dangerous by-product of waste management into a useful and highly effective resource.

By using biogas from a variety of industries, including landfill and wastewater treatment, energy can be created that not only displaces the use of traditional fuel but also removes a highly dangerous greenhouse gas, methane, from the atmosphere.

Leachate Systems

Leachate management and control is one of the principal activities of landfill management. Many of the techniques employed to manage this type of contaminated water are also key aspects of the control of urban waste management.

The Organics Group has been providing solutions for wastewater from many different sources for many years.

Pyrolysis

Pyrolysis of organic waste material has the potential to be an important link in the circular economy. The technology offers a sustainable approach to converting organic materials into valuable products, including biochar. It helps to reduce waste, particularly agricultural waste, sequester carbon, improve soil health, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The Organics Pyroclast® pyrolysis unit is designed for final waste disposal. This is its primary intent. Energy recovery, in the form of an Organic Rankine Cycle power unit, can easily be added.

Wastewater

Leachate and wastewater treatment remains one of the principal activities of landfill or municipal wastewater management. The Organics Group has been actively involved in converting waste material into valuable resources

Biogas

A range of technologies exists according to the method of treatment required for different forms of biogas, whether from landfill sites or the anaerobic digestion of organic material, Organics has employed many different systems around the world.

Portfolio

Management of environmental engineering projects must be carefully planned to ensure timely delivery within budget. Organics has undertaken a range of projects from biogas, leachate, and rdf. Here we showcase some examples.
